Premiering on Tuesday, February 17th at 9pm ET/PT on MTV, Snoop Dogg will host “Dogg After Dark,” a new jam packed weekly variety talk show from Los Angeles hotspot Kress on Hollywood Boulevard. “Dogg After Dark” will bring his Doggystyle swagger to the airwaves with raw interviews with A-list celebrities and musicians, hilarious sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the hottest artists. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop’s own in-house band, the “Snoopadelics.”
Jewel will actually be competing against her husband, bull rider Ty Murray, on the show, which will also feature Olympian Shawn Johnson, actress Denise Richards, Blankman star David Alan Grier, Steve-O of Jackass fame, “computer guru” Steve Wozniak and Rock Daily’s personal favorite, New York Giants Hall of Fame linebacker, Lawrence “LT” Taylor.
This was announced on the Grammys. Robert Plant is creepy, and he won album of the year.
Joe Lynn Turner will bring back Rainbow iwth a new guitarist. His name is Jurgen Richard Blackmore. And he’s been playing guitar for like 30 years, and he’s great.

Billy Powell, the only keyboardist Lynyrd Skynyrd ever had, died last night at his home near Jacksonville, Florida. He was 56. No cause of death has been announced.
McFarlane Toys have announced the pending release of the Slash guitar hero “action figure.” Some the specs: “Figure measures 11 inches at top of hat. Articulated at neck, shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees and ankles. Includes guitar and 5 inch wide by 3 1/2-inch deep Guitar Hero logo base.” The Slash doll is set to be released sometime next month
With the addition of U2, this year’s telecast will feature arguably the three biggest bands on the planet right now (U2, Radiohead, Coldplay) along with the three biggest rappers (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne) and a Beatle (McCartney.) Well done, Grammys. The Grammys also revealed the initial slate of special guest presenters: Jack Black, Duffy, actor Simon Baker, Charlie Haden, Josh Groban and Gwyneth Paltrow, and Samuel L. Jackson!
